How Pinky checks your messages

Pinky checks each message you send with a list of rules, not with an AI model. The rules look for signs of suicide, self-harm, hurting someone else, or struggling with eating or weight. They read Chinese and English.

What we keep

We keep only a yearly count of how many times the line was shown, with no message text and no account. In 2025, the line was shown 0 times, because the check did not exist yet. We update this number every January. What else Pinky keeps is in our privacy policy.

Not a human

Replies here are written by AI. You are not talking with a human. Pinky shows this notice before the first reply of each day, again after three hours of chatting, and when you ask whether you are talking with a human or an AI.

Not for children

Companion chatbots may not be suitable for some minors. Pinky is only for people 18 or over.
